The Journal of Plant Nutrition and Soil Science, associated with the DGP, publishes articles in English subjected to plant nutrition, soil science, and related research areas. The journal also covers book reviews and communications from the German Society of Plant Nutrition and the German Soil Science Society.

Open access publication in JPNSS with project DEAL
From July 1, 2019, all authors will be able to publish their article in Journal of Plant Nutrition and Soil Science as open access free of charge if their institute participates in Project DEAL.
Thereby, the article is freely accessible worldwide and the authors retain the copyright. The costs are handled centrally by the institute. This arrangement applies to all journals published by Wiley. You can find more details here.
The agreement is part of a nationally coordinated strategy in Germany, with the aim of making scientific journals open access on a large scale.
Comparable agreements also apply to:
- Austria: for authors from institutes participating in „Kooperation E-Medien Österreich“
(KEMÖ); - The Netherlands: for authors from Dutch universities/UMCs (VSNU).
