On Wednesday at 13:30, we will offer an optional lab tour introducing our institute, the Department of Soil Science and Plant Nutrition at Hochschule Geisenheim University.

Cancellations & Refund Policy
Cancellations must be notified to the organizing committee by e-mail to DGP2026@hs-gm.de.
Cancellations made before July 1st, 2026 will be refunded in full. Cancellations made from July 1st to August 15th, 2026 will receive a 50% refund. No refunds can be made for cancellations after August 15th, 2026. All refunds will be processed after the conference in October 2026 and will be paid by bank transfer. Bank service charges will be deducted from the refunded sum.
Please notify your hotel directly to cancel accommodation bookings.
Abstract submission
Abstracts can only be submitted after registration for the meeting via the website. After receiving the registration confirmation, please send your abstract by e-mail to DGP2026@hs-gm.de.
Please indicate if you would prefer to present a poster or to give an oral presentation. In case we cannot grant you an oral presentation, we will provide you with the opportunity to present a poster.
Abstracts need to be submitted before July 1st 2026 (i.e. the early bird deadline). After this date, it will not be possible to submit or change your abstract. Participants will be notified by August 1st, 2026, whether their abstract has been selected for poster or oral presentation.
Abstracts are automatically withdrawn if the submitter fails to register and pay the registration fee for the conference by the indicated deadline.
Abstract format
All abstracts have to be formatted using the template, which can be downloaded here.
Please note that our email address can only receive *.rtf and *.docx files, all other file formats are automatically deleted. Please make sure to only submit abstracts in one of these suitable file formats!
Abstracts should not exceed 250 words and 1 page. Your abstract must be prepared in English, which is the official conference language.
Oral Presentations
The slide format 16:9 is recommended. The presentation time is 15 minutes talk + 5 minutes discussion.
Poster Presentations
Your poster should be 84.1 cm wide × 118.9 cm high (A0 portrait format). Best posters will be awarded a poster prize (to be announced).

From Rüdesheim am Rhein, the conference venue can be reached on foot, and a particularly nice option is to walk through the vineyards with panoramic views over the Rheingau (the walk takes approx. 35–40 minutes). Local buses are also available. Commuting daily from Wiesbaden by train would take considerably longer as train services are unreliable due to long-term construction work.
